Carmann Rolls Over

I was sitting in the living room Sunday night (June 22, 2008) and was on my laptop and Carmann was on the floor. She started grunting and I figured I was fixing to change a really good diaper. I looked over the laptop and saw her roll !!! I was so excited !!! I made her do it over and over again till she was tired and aggravated with me.

This is Paw-Paw's first Father's Day.

He and Grandmaw came to my house to celebrate since I had a full weekend with my class reunion. Carmann loves her Paw-Paw...as you can tell. And he thinks she will do too.Cary, Carmann and Paw-Paw

Grandmaw got to give Carmann a bottle...Carmann looks as big as Grandmaw.

This year marked my 20 years of being out of High School. On Saturday we all meet at the East Central Park in Hurley to show off our children. I was there smiling with Carmann. I figured I'd be the only one there with a baby ...but to my surprise I wasn't. We really enjoyed the day and it was nice to see old friends.

Little Things Amuse Me June 8th, 2008
I was cleaning up Carmann’s room Sunday and had her propped up on the bed so she could watch me. She is a nosey little thing…If she can’t see what you’re doing she will fuss till she can. I had gotten a few more gifts for her and they were still in the gift bags scatted around the room. I was taking the tissue paper out of the bags and throwing it on the bed and noticed that she was watching me. The paper was making racket and I could see her wheels turning. So I started throwing the paper on her and she loved it. I think it was the bright colors and the sound of the paper that she liked.

Hey…where are my feet? There under here somewhere.

Hey Mom! Stop! Or you’re not going to be able to find me!

Isn’t that the cutest face?

Makes you wont to eat her up…as Aunt Cindy says.

What I Found When I Got Home
Maw-maw was able to keep Carmann for 2 weeks before she started Daycare. When I got home one afternoon the house was quiet. I said “Hello?” but no reply. So I started looking toward Carmann’s room and this is what I found. It was so sweet. Both of them were crashed.

First Day of Daycare June 2nd, 2008
Carmann started Daycare today at First Baptist. I am so happy that she is there. A friend of mine, Annette, got her in there before she moved to Cleveland, MS and I am thankful. She was happy when I left her but I was torn. I knew that she was fine and they said I could call anytime but I only called once. I was proud of me! I couldn’t wait to pick her up after work. Would she be O.K. or screaming her head off. To my relief...she was happy and smiling and had had a good day.

Memorial Day Weekend May 23-26th, 2008
We were at the camp for the weekend. This was the first time that some of the family got to meet Carmann. I’ve sent them pictures but it’s not the same as seeing her in person. Carmann was intrigued by Logan playing around; I guess it was because he was a little person.
As always the camp is somewhere where you can relax as you can tell. Carmann is getting with the flow of things already.

She's learning from the BEST !!! Ha! Ha!

She is trying to roll over! Aunt Cindy wanted to help her so bad. She didn't make it, maybe next time!

Sunday we celebrated Grandmaw’s 85th Birthday, Uncle Ray’s and Aunt Serithia’s with all the family. It was very nice but Carmann slept through everything on a pallet on the floor. Nothing phases that kid!
Sporting my Auburn outfit from Aunt Seritha and Uncle Wallace. Go Tigers!

A Rainy Day and Mom was Bored May 15th, 2008
This was my last week home with Carmann before I went back to work on May 19th. It was a rainy day and I got bored, so we played dress-up. I had gotten this bikini for her and she had received the monkey from a dear friend of mine Darlon. I’ve called her “My chunky Monkey” since she was born. But when she gets bigger I’ll have to stop for fear of giving her a complex.

Do you think this bikini will work for Miss America..Mom?

Look at that smile!
